My Vacation Goals
As the boys and I are on vacation for the next week, I created a few goals for us:
A big day
Tomorrow, my boys have their last day of preschool & daycare for the summer. When they return in two weeks, they will each be in a different room with older kids and new teachers. Yet one more reminder that they grow up so fast.
My oldest son, CJ, is sensing how important this is. He asked me earlier today, "Tomorrow is a big day, isn't it"....with gleam in his eyes and a smile from one ear to the other. It fills my heart to see his excitement and feel his energy.
He'll be starting kindergarten when he returns. He has so much enthusiasm for this next step in his life, while his mother is filled with apprehension because her son is growing up...too fast.
As I see how time slips away so easily during these early years, I want to use this blog to share simple, resourceful ideas with other parents to help us treasure and make the most of each day.
